Stone House Productions

Cheryl Carlesimo handles project development and editorial direction for Stone House, and maintains contact with our clients, collaborators, publishers, writers, and talent. Educated at Fordham University (BA) and the Yale School of Art (MFA), Cheryl's first jobs in film were in Europe, where she assisted French New Wave director, Eric Rohmer, and German director, Werner Schroeter, in feature film production. Upon returning to the US, she embarked on a free-lance career that began as the news footage researcher for the landmark HBO comedy show Not Necessarily the News. After taking a few years off for motherhood, during which time she wrote two feature screenplays, Cheryl took a position in program development at Rabbit Ears Productions, where she ultimately became Vice President of Development and Creative Affairs, having participated in optioning major works of fiction for TV; developing a nationally syndicated PRI radio series,  and creating new content in the children's storytelling arena in TV, home video, multimedia CD-ROMs, and publishing. Cheryl also co-authored a children's book, The Saturday Kid, with famed illustrator, Ed Sorel. She lives in Norwalk, CT with her husband, SHP partner, John McCally. And she makes a mean bowl of pasta!
